Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly will open on October 23 and is expected to close on November 28, and will be held in two phases. The total working time will be about 22 days.
As the year-end session and also the mid-term session, at this session, the National Assembly will carry out a huge amount of work, many important contents, high requirements on quality and progress, contributing to ensuring the basic completion of the tasks set out for the term.
At the 6th Session, the National Assembly will consider and approve 9 laws and 1 draft resolution containing legal norms; give opinions on 8 draft laws; assess the results of the implementation of the socio -economic development plan and the state budget in 2023; conduct a mid-term assessment: the results of the implementation of the 5-year plans for the period 2021 - 2025 on socio-economic development, economic restructuring, medium-term public investment, national finance and borrowing and public debt repayment; consider and decide on the central budget allocation plan for 2024; consider reports of agencies; conduct thematic supervision; conduct questions and answers; take a vote of confidence for people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly; consider and decide on other important issues.

In his closing speech, the National Assembly Chairman said that after 4.5 days of active, urgent and effective work, the National Assembly Standing Committee has completed the entire program of the 27th Session. To date, all preparations for the 6th Session have been completed and are ready for the opening day, scheduled for October 23.
The National Assembly Chairman said that for each content of the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly have made conclusions when presiding. The National Assembly Chairman requested the Secretary General of the National Assembly to promptly issue a notice of the conclusion of the meeting content so that agencies have a basis to implement and complete the documents to be submitted to the National Assembly.
Regarding the meeting agenda, based on the results of the National Assembly Standing Committee meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that the National Assembly Secretary General had compiled the opinions of National Assembly deputies and National Assembly delegations and submitted them to the National Assembly Standing Committee for comments on the proposed meeting agenda. The National Assembly Standing Committee basically agreed with the proposed agenda.
Regarding some specific contents, the National Assembly Chairman noted that regarding the supervision of the implementation of National Target Programs, it is expected to be included in the draft Resolution on supervision to submit to the National Assembly for consideration of the policy of piloting the implementation of the program according to the district level in some localities to have a basis for the Government to organize implementation.
In addition, with a number of other policy recommendations, it is recommended that the Government organize implementation in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents and submit them to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
Regarding the draft Law on Citizen Identification, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed with the proposal of the submitting agency and based on the results of the Conference of specialized National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly Chairman requested the National Assembly Secretary General to submit the name of the draft law in the program accordingly.
Regarding the question and answer session, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed that the time allotted for the question and answer session is 2.5 days. The National Assembly Chairman suggested that in the plan for the key contents of the question and answer session, and in the General Secretary's opinion ballot, it is necessary to be more specific in terms of content and content.
At the same time, before the questioning session, there must be detailed reports related to each field of ministries and branches.
The Secretary General of the National Assembly shall arrange the expected meeting time of the National Assembly Standing Committee between the two sessions of the 6th Session.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized the need to strictly comply with the regulations on the content of the session, and not add additional content to the agenda except in urgent, urgent cases with the opinion of competent authorities.
Emphasizing that preparations for the 6th Session have been basically completed, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue noted that relevant agencies and organizations should review preparations to ensure that the session is conducted in the most favorable manner, ensuring absolute security, safety and the greatest success.
