Disciplinary warning for teacher sending 'intimate' messages to 10th grade female student

Specifically, Mr. NVT texted a female 10th grade student studying at the school with “intimate” content and words that are not in accordance with the ethical standards of teachers.”

It is known that previously, according to the report of the Principal of Rach Kien High School, Ha Thi Minh Hien, on October 20, 2025, the Vice Principal of the school, Vo Thi Kim Chi, received a message from a teacher about a student of NTTL, grade 10, being "done something bad" by a male teacher.

Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi invited NTTL to her room to get information about the incident. NTTL stated that Mr. NVT, the National Defense Education teacher, had sent intimate messages to her and had touched her body. Ms. Kim Chi encouraged her and asked her to write a report and present her wishes.

Afterwards, the Board of Directors invited Mr. NVT to discuss the incident. Mr. NVT admitted to having sent intimate messages back and forth, but insisted that he had not physically touched the student and admitted his mistake in sending intimate messages to the student. The Board of Directors asked Mr. NVT to write a report and a self-criticism, pledging not to let the incident happen again. The school counseling board discussed the matter with student NTTL, and he agreed with the Board of Directors' solution.

At 2:25 p.m. on October 27, 2025, two women, including NTTL's biological mother, came to the school and asked the security guard to let them in, claiming to discuss the student's studies. However, the two then went straight to the equipment room, rushed in and used their hands and objects to hit and throw at Mr. NVT.

Immediately after the incident, the school reported it to Rach Kien Commune Police to handle the situation. The commune police arrived, worked with the school board and the two women who disturbed the school's security and order, and clarified the incident.

The incident was recorded by a witness using a phone. Afterwards, a nearly 2-minute video clip of the incident was spread on social media; the content of the inappropriate text messages, believed to be between teacher NVT and female student NTTL, also spread on social media.

Before the Disciplinary Council decided to issue a disciplinary warning, Rach Kien High School also suspended teacher NVT from teaching for 15 days.
