Bus fire on Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, 10 passengers escaped in time

On the morning of November 24, the Traffic Police, Fire Police and Rescue Police of Tay Ninh Province coordinated with the management unit of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway to investigate the cause of the passenger bus fire that occurred early that morning.

The passenger bus caught fire fiercely.

According to initial information, at about 2:40 a.m., the passenger bus with license plate 94B-004... driven by driver NTAM (born in 1987, residing in Ca Mau province) was traveling from the West to Ho Chi Minh City. When reaching Km37+600, in Long An ward, Tay Ninh province, passengers detected an unusual burning smell and reported it to the driver.

The driver immediately pulled the car into the emergency lane to check and discovered that the fire was coming from the engine compartment on the driver's side. The driver quickly asked the 10 passengers to leave the car. Together with the people at the scene, the driver used available tools to put out the fire but was unsuccessful.

The car was burned to the frame.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police, Fire Police and Rescue Police of Tay Ninh Province dispatched two specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire and regulate traffic.

The fire destroyed the bus and damaged some of the passengers' luggage. All 10 passengers were able to escape safely./.
