Gia Lai Provincial Election Committee held its first meeting.

Comrade Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee chaired the meeting. Attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Election Committee; members and Secretaries of the Provincial Election Committee.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and gave opinions on the draft Working Regulations of the Provincial Election Committee; the draft Notice of assignment of tasks of the Provincial Election Committee; the draft Plan of the Provincial Election Committee on implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the province; the draft Plan of the Provincial Party Committee to organize a conference to implement the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2026-2031 term. At the same time, they gave opinions on the content of expenditure levels and support time for expenditure contents serving the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc requested members of the Provincial Election Committee and relevant agencies and units to pay special attention to fully implementing important contents and timelines, ensuring the election is successful. He emphasized a number of key tasks, including: Projecting the structure, composition, and introducing candidates for National Assembly deputies and Provincial People's Council deputies in accordance with legal regulations; implementing on time and announcing the election list, constituencies, and number of elected deputies; organizing consultation conferences; promptly resolving complaints and denunciations related to the election (if any).

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, the Department of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to focus on research, strengthen coordination and closely follow progress, promptly advise on election work according to assigned tasks. Strengthen guidance, inspection and supervision; regularly report on the progress of assigned tasks. Timely resolve difficulties and problems in the process of implementing election work.
