Commemorating the 77th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2025): Strongly spreading the patriotic emulation movement

77 years ago, on June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued a call for patriotic emulation, arousing the spirit of patriotic emulation, the will of independence, self-reliance, self-strengthening and national solidarity. Responding to Uncle Ho's sacred call, over the years, cadres and people of Thai Nguyen province have constantly innovated and created in organizing and implementing patriotic emulation movements with specific, practical actions that have spread strongly in the community.

Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh 's ideology of "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", Party committees at all levels, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front, mass organizations, cadres and people of Thai Nguyen province always identify emulation as a key task, a driving force for the successful completion of development tasks and goals.

Patriotic emulation movements are deployed synchronously, closely following the political tasks of each locality and unit, creating clear changes in people's awareness, actions and quality of life.

According to comrade Le Tuan Anh, acting head of the provincial Emulation and Reward Board, the movements have been innovated in content and organization methods in a practical, specific direction, with clear criteria and strong focus on the grassroots. Not stopping at slogans, emulation has become a revolutionary action, a great source of strength for Thai Nguyen to continue to break through, develop rapidly and sustainably in the new period, contributing positively to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

One of the typical movements with the most profound and clear impact on social life is the movement "Thai Nguyen joins hands to build new rural areas". With the high consensus of the entire political system and the people, up to now, the whole province has 6 district-level units completing the task of building new rural areas (NTM); 115/121 communes have met NTM standards, of which 50 communes have met advanced NTM standards and 12 communes have met model NTM standards.

The OCOP program was effectively implemented with 315 products achieving 3-5 stars, including 4 products achieving 5 stars at the national level, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products, people's income and preserving traditional cultural values.

Workers of Phuong Anh Wood Joint Stock Company (Tan Thanh Ward, Thai Nguyen City) actively responded to the emulation movement to improve labor productivity.

The emulation movement in the field of infrastructure development also made a clear mark. The implementation of the movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste" has mobilized the strong participation of all levels, sectors and people.

From 2024 to present, many key projects such as the Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Vinh Phuc Regional Link, urban beltway, cultural - sports projects have been started or completed on schedule. Traffic, urban and rural infrastructure has been improved, contributing to increasing connectivity, attracting investment and improving the quality of life.

The movement “Thai Nguyen joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind” continues to be promoted with many practical results. The “For the Poor” Fund at all levels supports the construction of hundreds of houses, helps people develop their livelihoods, and gives thousands of gifts to poor students who overcome difficulties.

The provincial relief fund spent more than 119 billion VND to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics. Social security policies, vocational training, health insurance, and social protection were given attention, contributing to improving the lives, especially in remote and ethnic minority areas.

In the economic field, movements such as “Improving the quality of the banking sector”, “Collection and budget management”, “Development of collective economy”, “Good farmers in production and business”… have brought about positive results. Many green economic models, organic agriculture, and high technology have brought high incomes.

Total state budget revenue in 2024 reached over VND 20,403 billion, exceeding 25.5% of the central government's estimate; in the first 5 months of 2025, total budget revenue reached over VND 10,176 billion, equal to 144% over the same period last year, reaching 45.8% of the government's estimate and 43.1% of the provincial People's Council's estimate.

The cultural and social sectors also witnessed a vibrant emulation movement associated with caring for people’s lives. Programs such as “Tet for the poor” and “Shelter of love” mobilized nearly 181.5 billion VND to support the poor. More than 19,700 poor and near-poor households received Tet gifts; hundreds of households were supported to build and repair houses.

As of April 15, 2025, the province has completed the construction of 1,221 new houses and repaired 617 houses for poor and near-poor households - 8 months ahead of schedule compared to the Central plan. This work clearly demonstrates the spirit of initiative, creativity and strong emulation in the localities.

The Education and Training sector maintains movements such as "Good Teaching - Good Learning", "Happy School", "Digital School", building a positive learning environment. In the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 90 students winning national prizes. The Phu Dong Sports Festival was successful, the Thai Nguyen delegation ranked 9th nationwide.

The health sector maintains the movement "Doctors are like mothers", implements the model "Green medical facilities", improves the quality of medical examination and treatment, and community health care...

Along with the effective implementation of emulation movements, the reward work in the province continues to be innovated towards publicity and transparency, taking actual results as evaluation criteria.

Thai Nguyen pays special attention to discovering, praising and replicating advanced models, good people and good deeds, creating strong motivation for each cadre, party member and citizen to continue to make efforts, be creative and contribute.

Promoting the achieved results, Thai Nguyen continues to promote patriotic emulation movements, creating an exciting atmosphere to welcome party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

The movements will be associated with the effective implementation of the Central Committee's directives and resolutions, political tasks for 2025 and the 5-year plan (2021-2025), focusing on the fields of digital transformation, administrative reform, new rural construction, infrastructure development, ensuring national defense, security and social security...
