Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day and awarding scholarships from Professor Le Viet Ly's family to students

On the morning of November 15, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association for Promotion of Education coordinated with the Department of Education and Training (DET) to organize a ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and award the 18th scholarship of Professor Le Viet Ly's family to students and teachers with achievements in teaching and studying in the province in 2025.

At the ceremony, delegates and a large number of officials, teachers, students and pupils reviewed the 43-year tradition of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025) and the 18-year journey of the Scholarship Fund of Professor Le Viet Ly's family accompanying the Association for Promotion of Education and the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.

Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province's Association for Promotion of Education Vuong Van Viet said: During the past 18 years, the Scholarship Fund of Professor Le Viet Ly's family has always accompanied and made significant contributions to the movement to promote learning and talent, build a learning society and the development of the Education and Training sector of Thanh Hoa province.

This year, Professor Le Viet Ly's family scholarship fund has spent over 2 billion VND to award scholarships to more than 450 students who have overcome difficulties to study well; to award 50 excellent managers, excellent teachers, and excellent students in 2025; and to provide financial support to schools.

Up to now, the total amount of money that Professor Le Viet Ly's family has supported and sponsored Thanh Hoa province to build schools, support educational equipment, award scholarships and awards is nearly 80 billion VND. Over 7,400 students have received scholarships, with the amount ranging from 2 to 3 million VND/student; nearly 500 students have received scholarships with the amount ranging from 10 to 15 million VND/year/student.

According to Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education Vuong Van Viet, that contribution not only creates significant resources for the education, learning and talent promotion movement, but also creates a social effect, with great influence in the movement to follow Uncle Ho's words with practical and effective actions "For the benefit of ten years, plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, cultivate people".

Speaking at the ceremony, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day, Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his respect and deep gratitude to teachers - those who have been dedicating day and night to their beloved students; at the same time, emphasized the outstanding results that the province's education sector has achieved in recent years.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung sincerely thanked the golden heart and highly appreciated the noble sentiments and gestures of Professor Le Viet Ly, Professor Le Viet Ly's family and the staff of Sun Group Corporation who joined hands and accompanied each other in the journey of building a learning society.

Recognizing and thanking the contributions of Professor Le Viet Ly's family, at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung presented Professor Le Viet Ly with a bouquet of fresh flowers, wishing the professor and his family good health.

Faced with important innovations, intertwined advantages, difficulties and challenges, for the future of the young generation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung also requested teachers to make more efforts in the era of development; always maintain their enthusiasm, love their profession and people; constantly learn, improve their professional qualifications, innovate teaching content and methods; actively apply science and technology, flexibly and creatively approach modern educational methods.

Departments, branches, sectors, Party committees and local authorities continue to pay deep attention and provide more practical support, ensuring the best conditions for teaching and learning.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that students will understand and appreciate the feelings, sacrifices and contributions of their parents, the Party Committee, the government, the Association for Promotion of Education and philanthropists, to nurture their passion for discovery and creativity; improve their capacity and master digital technology and artificial intelligence.
