Celebrating International Labor Day 1/5: Taking care of union members and workers

In carrying out their roles, trade unions at all levels in the province have and will carry out many practical activities. Thereby, creating more trust and connection between trade unions and employees, creating more motivation to encourage employees to work more productively, with better quality and efficiency.

Act with specific programs

Identifying workers as important assets and resources, many grassroots trade unions at enterprises have cleverly and proactively coordinated with business leaders to promote activities of caring for and providing welfare policies so that workers can feel secure in production.

A typical example is Right Rich International Company Limited (Ham Kiem II Industrial Park, Ham Thuan Nam), which recently held a ceremony to honor and reward 26 outstanding workers and 67 outstanding workers in production. In addition to certificates of merit and gifts, outstanding workers also received travel tickets worth 1 million VND. This is truly a practical thank you, a motivation for them to continue to make efforts and stay with the company for a long time. In particular, this honor also spreads the spirit of enthusiasm for work to more than 3,600 union members and workers working in the field of sports shoe production at the company.

In the series of activities in 2025, the Union of Right Rich International Company Limited also boldly proposed to implement a birthday party for union members in the month. The birthday party was held in combination with lunch, so the food portion for each person increased to 50,000 VND/meal, including rice, salty dishes, stir-fried dishes, soup and soft drinks, cakes, yogurt or fruit, instead of 20,000 VND/meal as usual. That not only shows the concern of the business leaders and union organizations for the private lives of union members and employees, but also helps them feel respected and part of the "family" of the business.

Employees are the "asset" of the enterprise.

At Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited (Phan Thiet Industrial Park), for many years this enterprise has implemented the law on democracy at the grassroots level well. This is clearly demonstrated by the annual coordination with the Trade Union to organize workers' conferences and dialogues at the workplace; build, negotiate, and sign collective labor agreements with many provisions beneficial to workers... Thanks to that, the income and benefits of workers are guaranteed, and they are committed to working long-term at the company.

Pioneer workers enter a new era

Over time, the workforce in the province has been working enthusiastically and creatively. The workforce is hardworking, united, with harmonious labor relations, creating attraction for domestic and foreign enterprises.

Up to now, the total number of workers, civil servants, and laborers (where there is a trade union) in the province is over 83,000 people and the number of union members is over 80,000 people. Of which, the non-state sector has over 42,000 workers, with over 40,000 union members.

Applying technology to production, reducing labor and increasing productivity.

In particular, after more than 3 years of implementing the Party's Resolution on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Binh Thuan Provincial Trade Union has continuously innovated and improved its operational capacity, worthy of representing the voice, aspirations and beliefs of workers in the province.

This year's Workers' Month takes place on the occasion of many important events of the province and the country. With a very clear theme "Vietnamese workers are pioneers entering a new era", Workers' Month 2025 once again affirms that the working force will continue to play a pioneering role, mastering technology, operating modern production, building a self-reliant - creative - sustainable economy, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's innovation and development. At the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of the whole society in caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests, improving the living and working conditions of workers, honoring and promoting workers in the new development stage of the country.

When there is attention and encouragement from unions, businesses and localities, workers have the conditions to fully develop their abilities.

In Binh Thuan, the focus will be on contents such as the forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party", praising "Good examples of workers studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" in 2025 and the program "Promoting innovation - Creating the future", "Honoring good workers, creative workers"; the model "Your health"; building a video clip to communicate the theme "Thank you workers"; coordinating to organize a photo contest with the theme "Beauty of trade unions and workers"... When there is attention and encouragement from trade unions, enterprises, and localities, workers have the conditions to fully develop their own capacity, multiplying their pride to continue to contribute, promoting socio-economic development, accelerating the industrialization and modernization of the country.
