Ky Phu received the Provincial Historical and Cultural Relic Certificate for Nguyen Van Nhu and Nguyen Trong Thuong churches.

On the morning of February 9, 2025, the People's Committee of Ky Phu commune, Ky Anh district held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial historical and cultural relic for Nguyen Van Nhu - Nguyen Trong Thuong church.

The Nguyen family in Phu Thuong, Ky Phu commune, originated from Thanh Hoa , immigrating here around the 17th century. The ancestor was Nguyen Cao, who had four children, and from there developed into a large family. As of 2020, the family has gone through 12 generations, with more than 1,500 members living across the country, many of whom are successful and have made positive contributions to society. Prominent in the family are Nguyen Van Nhu and Nguyen Trong Thuong, two typical figures who passed exams and held many important positions under the Nguyen Dynasty.

Nguyen Van Nhu (1825-?), from Ky Nam commune (now Ky Phu), Ha Tinh , passed the Bachelor's examination in 1848. He held many important positions under the Nguyen Dynasty such as Dien Tich Vien Han Lam, Huan Dao, Tri Huyen Van Chan, Son Phong Su Ha Tinh. He was dismissed from his position but was later reinstated and continued to serve the court. Throughout his life, he always fulfilled his duties well, was recognized by the court and appointed according to his abilities.

Nguyen Trong Thuong (1853-?), from Phu Thuong (now Ky Phu), Ha Tinh, passed the Bachelor's degree in 1882. He held many positions such as Academician of the Academy, Editor of the Academy, and District Chief of Vinh Linh. In the context of the French colonial invasion, he did not care about fame or profit, secretly supported the people against tax collection, and hated the corrupt mandarins. In 1908, he resigned from office and returned to his hometown to live a simple life with the people. His loyal and benevolent personality is still remembered and praised by his descendants and the people.

The life and career of Nguyen Van Nhu - Nguyen Trong Thuong contributed to glorifying his homeland and family and left a shining example of studiousness, kindness and loyalty for future generations to follow. Generations of descendants in the family have continued the tradition of academic achievement, with many successful children who have made many contributions to building their homeland and country.

The ceremony to receive the Certificate of provincial historical and cultural relic of Nguyen Van Nhu and Nguyen Trong Thuong church is not only an occasion to express gratitude for the great contributions of Nguyen Van Nhu and Nguyen Trong Thuong but also to express the pride and gratitude of the descendants and local people. This event contributes to arousing the spirit of remembering the source of drinking water, honoring the historical values ​​and fine traditions of the homeland. This is also the motivation for today's generation to continue and promote the spirit of learning and contributing to the development of the country.
