Lai Chau: Opening of Training Course on Methods of Organizing Sports Festivals at All Levels in 2025

Attending the training course were comrades representing leaders of departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; comrades representing the Department of Culture - Society , the Center for Culture, Sports and Communication of Doan Ket ward; 107 trainees who are commune-level officials, civil servants, public employees; physical education and sports teachers; non-professional workers at the commune, village, hamlet, residential group levels and forces directly participating in physical education and sports work at the grassroots level...

Over the years, the mass sports movement of our province has been constantly developing, increasingly going into depth and bringing practical results. In response to the requirements of innovation and development of the movement, together with the whole country, Lai Chau province is implementing the Sports Congress at all levels, towards the 10th National Sports Congress in 2026.

Comrade Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province delivered the opening speech of the training course.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, comrade Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province emphasized: The training course is an opportunity for trainees to exchange and share practical experiences, together overcome difficulties, unify ways of doing things, contributing to the development of the mass sports movement of the province in both scale and quality.

For the training course to be effective, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province requested the lecturers and students to uphold the spirit of responsibility, be proactive, actively exchange and learn, ensuring the training course achieves practical results, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

During the 4 days, the trainees were taught the following topics: Deploying a number of documents of the Central and the province on physical education and sports work and documents on organizing physical education and sports at all levels; Methods of planning, establishing the Organizing Committee, drafting the Regulations of a tournament; Rules and methods of refereeing stick pushing and tug-of-war; Rules and methods of refereeing volleyball; Rules and methods of refereeing pickleball; Rules and methods of refereeing 7-a-side football; Rules and methods of refereeing shuttlecock throwing and crossbow shooting.

The training course was organized to improve the management, organization and operation capacity of the team of officials working in the field of physical education and sports in advising and organizing Sports Congresses at all levels; continue to promote the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life".

As planned, the training course will last until October 23.
