
Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Tran Duc Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Ngo Thi Bich Hanh - Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union; Vu Thi Mai Dinh - Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; representatives of leaders, civil servants, and public employees of provincial departments, branches, and sectors; members of the Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women; leaders of the People's Committees of Doan Ket and Tan Phong wards and more than 300 members, youth union members, students, and armed forces in the province.
In recent years, the work of gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence in the province has received attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels, considering gender equality work as a regular task, associated with socio- economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction and improving people's lives. The proportion of women participating in Party committees and authorities has been increased. Up to now, the whole province has 01 female National Assembly delegate, accounting for 16.6% of the total number of National Assembly delegates of the 15th term of Lai Chau province; 17 female Provincial People's Council delegates, accounting for 38.6% of the total number of Lai Chau Provincial People's Council delegates; 703 female Commune-level People's Council delegates, accounting for 33.5% of the total number of Commune-level People's Council delegates for the 2021-2026 term...
Lai Chau women are increasingly bold and confident in participating in economic activities - starting up, doing small businesses, participating in cooperatives, thereby enhancing the role of women in society. Gender-based violence, especially violence against women and girls, has decreased in number and severity. Many models and programs to support women have been effectively implemented, such as: Model: "Trusted address - community shelter" of the Department of Health , "Friendly investigation room" of the Provincial Police, "Trusted address in the community" of the Women's Union at all levels; model "Club of women at risk of being forced to marry foreigners" in Dao San commune... These activities have contributed to helping women and girls be better protected and more confident in life.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Duc Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs emphasized: The launching ceremony will be an important milestone to start a widespread communication and propaganda campaign in the month of action for gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence in the whole province. At the same time, it is also an important event, affirming the determination and responsibility of the entire political system and the whole society in implementing the goal of gender equality, a key factor for sustainable development and improving the quality of life of the people.
With the theme of 2025, Lai Chau province calls on all levels, sectors and the whole society to continue joining hands to carry out practical actions, spreading the message of building a safe, humane, and violence-free community, where women and girls are protected and their roles are promoted in the digital age.

Responding to the launching ceremony, Comrade Vu Thi Mai Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union affirmed: Union members and youth will actively participate in communication activities, raise awareness of gender equality in the community; proactively prevent gender violence; build a safe school and online environment for women and girls. The Provincial Youth Union commits to continue implementing models and clubs to support women and children; promote propaganda in flexible, creative forms, suitable for young people in the digital age, contributing to spreading the message of an equal, non-violent society.

At the Launching Ceremony, comrade Tran Duc Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs beat the drum to launch a series of activities for the Month of Action for Gender Equality.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, a convoy of motorbikes and mobile propaganda vehicles paraded on main roads, spreading the message of gender equality and violence prevention to a large number of people. The activity contributed to raising public awareness, creating consensus and mobilizing the participation of the whole society in protecting women and girls.
