Housing support loan interest rate in 2025 is 4.7%/year

ANTD.VN - The interest rate applied by commercial banks in 2025 for outstanding loans for housing support is 4.7%/year.

The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has just issued Decision No. 2690/QD-NHNN on the interest rates applied by commercial banks in 2025 for outstanding loans for housing support as prescribed in Circular No. 11/2013/TT-NHNN dated May 15, 2013, Circular No. 32/2014/TT-NHNN dated November 18, 2014 and Circular No. 25/2016/TT-NHNN dated July 29, 2016.

Interest rates for home purchase support from the State Bank's refinancing source will decrease further in 2025

Specifically, the interest rate applied by commercial banks in 2025 for outstanding loans supporting housing as prescribed in the above Circulars is 4.7%/year.

Previously, this interest rate was set at 4.8%/year in 2024. Thus, next year, the interest rate applied to the housing support loan program will decrease by 0.1 percentage points.

Circulars No. 11/2013/TT-NHNN, Circular No. 32/2014/TT-NHNN and Circular No. 25/2016/TT-NHNN regulate commercial banks' lending to support housing from the State Bank's refinancing source.

The purpose of the loan is to support housing for customers who are individuals and households who buy, rent, or hire-purchase social housing; rent or buy commercial housing; build new or renovate their own houses. The loan subjects are home buyers, renters, or hire-purchasers and businesses that are investors in social housing construction projects, businesses that are investors in commercial housing projects that have been converted into social housing projects as announced by the Ministry of Construction from time to time.

According to the Appendix issued with Decision 2690/QD-NHNN in 2024, there are 17 commercial banks with outstanding refinancing loans implementing housing support loans, including: BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank, Agribank, SHB , SeABank, TPBank, Eximbank, PVCombank, OCB, NamABank, LPBank, VietBank, NCB, VIB, VPBank, SCB.
