"Beautifying" the city during the tourist season.

(QBĐT) - As one of the units responsible for "beautifying" the city, in addition to its regular work, before each tourist season, the Dong Hoi City Public Service Management Board (BQL DVCI) makes efforts in maintaining, repairing, beautifying, and investing in decorating public works and beaches; ready to welcome tourists from all over.

Invest in services ahead of the tourist season.

Director of the Tourism Management Board, Tran Duy Khanh, said: "Despite the heavy workload and limited staff, in preparation for welcoming tourists in the 2025 tourist season, the Tourism Management Board is making every effort to comprehensively implement all activities; focusing on environmental sanitation and beautification of the beaches; and directing the beach environmental team to regularly maintain the improvement, care, cleaning, trimming, and shaping of trees and casuarina trees on the beaches."

Since the beginning of March 2025, the unit has been carrying out leveling of the beach surface, raking and screening of waste; inspecting, repairing, replacing and renewing the system of beach regulations signs, propaganda signs, and lighting systems within the management and exploitation area of ​​Nhat Le, Bao Ninh 1, and Bao Ninh 2 beaches to ensure safety and aesthetics.

The Management Board of the Public Works Department has implemented leveling and beautification of the sandy beaches along the Bao Ninh and Nhat Le coastlines.

In particular, the renovation and investment in infrastructure for businesses along the beaches ensures orderliness and meets the needs of residents and tourists. Through social mobilization, the City's Service Management Board invited units and organizations to invest in an additional freshwater shower service point and a beverage and check-in service point at Nhat Le beach; coordinated with businesses in service area No. 3 (Truong Phap Street - Nhat Le beach) to socialize investment in renovating 10 food and beverage processing kiosks according to a common design, ensuring safety and aesthetics on the beach; installed uniform stepped flooring to create a clear walkway for pedestrians; and coordinated with businesses to sponsor uniform advertising signs for businesses at Nhat Le and Bao Ninh beaches.

One of the businesses in service area number 3, Mr. Tran Van Quyet, owner of a kiosk with the sign "Minh Luu Seafood," shared: "This is a new model built by the Management Board of Service Areas, creating an impressive highlight to attract tourists. Like other vendors who have new kiosks, I find this row of small restaurants along the beach very beautiful and am excited by the city's attention. We hope for a tourist season that will welcome many visitors to enjoy the beach and sample seafood specialties. Each kiosk and stall has an area of ^​​50m², ensuring we can prepare and serve hundreds of customers. For businesses like mine, during peak season, it will provide employment for 10-14 workers with stable incomes. If the city invests in and guides a few more rows of restaurants, it will certainly make Nhat Le beach even more prominent and beautiful, meeting the needs of tourists who come to enjoy themselves." "Stunning."

The city is accelerating the completion of standardized food and beverage processing kiosks based on a common design.

Along with beautifying the city during holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), and tourist seasons, the Management Board of Public Service Activities also effectively implements regular asset management and supervision of public service activities; the unit's departments are always closely involved in the field; maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting are carried out promptly and with quality, ensuring the city's aesthetics.

In March 2025, the Management Board of the Public Service Center implemented leveling and beautification of over 2,500m of sandy beaches along the Bảo Ninh and Nhật Lệ coastlines; mobilized forces to repair and upgrade the freshwater shower system; installed additional shower heads and repainted the shower facilities at the beaches in the area; replaced and renovated the beach regulations signs, information boards, and directional signs at Nhật Lệ, Bảo Ninh 1, and Bảo Ninh 2 beaches.

Speaking with reporters, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hoi City, Hoang Ngoc Dan, said: In recent times, the Management Board of Public Services has promptly advised and proposed to the city to invest in projects serving public activities; especially decorating Ho Chi Minh Square… meeting the needs of residents and tourists visiting and promoting the image of a friendly and hospitable coastal city. The unit also advised the city to issue regulations and rules for operation at Ho Chi Minh Square and successfully completed tasks such as: environmental sanitation, landscape maintenance, tree care, welcoming delegations of leaders at all levels and people visiting and offering incense in gratitude. Thanks to the successful implementation of the annual art and decoration area celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year, Ho Chi Minh Square has become an attractive destination, drawing a large number of people and tourists to admire the art, have fun, and take souvenir photos.

The Management Board of the Beach Services also did a good job of inspecting and supervising the business operations of beach services, promptly correcting and rectifying violations, preventing complicated situations from occurring that could affect the image of tourism in the area; coordinating with relevant units in ensuring security, order, and safety for beachgoers.

The kiosks on Nhat Le beach are designed in a standardized, common style.

At the same time, the Tourism Management Board pays attention to tourism promotion, such as: organizing training courses to improve the quality of tourism human resources; diversifying articles on the Management Board's website and the Facebook page for beach tourism information; providing a hotline to promptly receive feedback and complaints, etc.

According to Director of the Public Service Management Board Tran Duy Khanh, during the performance of their duties, the unit also recognized that the infrastructure and facilities, largely outdoors, quickly deteriorated and became damaged; the area is large, the workforce is insufficient, and the technical infrastructure is constantly increasing, so monitoring and inspection are sometimes not timely enough to detect and handle incidents. In addition, the unit's revenue from renting out spaces and services is limited and unstable due to its high seasonality; the demand for expenditure on management and public services is increasing, making it impossible to ensure self-sufficiency in the budget... However, the unit's staff and employees continue to strive to complete their assigned tasks so that the city becomes increasingly bright, green, clean, and beautiful, attracting tourists.
