On the morning of November 28, many coastal localities in Lam Dong province reported that high waves had damaged many sections of sea dykes and caused property damage. In addition, a commune had to evacuate about 200 households.
According to the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward, in the early morning of the same day, high waves continuously hit the shore, causing the embankment of Ham Tien 1 residential area to continue to erode. At the scene, many Terapod structures were dislodged, the damage spread widely, and many cracks appeared inside. Currently, the authorities are temporarily reinforcing and repairing to avoid the risk of rapid spread.

Previously, on November 27, a section of the seawall in Ham Tien 1 ward was seriously damaged and eroded for about 150 meters due to high and large waves. This seawall system was invested in and built in 2003, so some locations have eroded the foot of the embankment, the concrete structure of the embankment roof has collapsed, causing structural instability and posing a risk of directly affecting households, service businesses, tourism and infrastructure.

Immediately, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward mobilized local forces to protect the scene and temporarily reinforce the landslide area. At the same time, the ward requested businesses to relocate their assets.
Therefore, Mui Ne Ward respectfully requests the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province to consider and direct the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province to urgently inspect the current status and assess the level of damage to the sea dyke, in order to carry out repairs and reinforcement as soon as possible. In the long term, the province should consider approving the investment policy to build a new coastal protection dyke system to limit erosion and protect the sea area in the area.
Also on the night of November 27 and the morning of November 28, rising sea levels and large waves continuously flooded the embankment and houses of village 14 (Lien Huong commune) to a depth of more than 1 meter. Due to the possibility of further rising waters, the People's Committee of the commune mobilized forces to evacuate about 200 households to safety. By 5 a.m. the same day, the sea level had basically receded; some households had returned home, but many properties were damaged. Similarly, rising sea levels and large waves occurred in Tien Thanh, Phan Thiet, and Phu Thuy wards.
According to the provincial hydrometeorological station, on November 28-29, off the coast of Lam Dong province, there will be northeast winds of level 5, level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Wave heights range from 3 to 6 meters.
