Employees who work overtime on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30th and May 1st are paid at least 400% of their normal working day's salary. In case employees work overtime at night on holidays, they are paid a total of up to 490% of their salary.

Employees working overtime on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1 are paid at least 400% of their normal working day salary.

According to the provisions of Points c, d, e, Clause 1, Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, employees are entitled to take time off with full pay on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1.

When employees work overtime on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30th Victory Day and May 1st International Labor Day, wages are calculated according to Article 98 of the 2019 Labor Code. Accordingly, the unit price of wages or actual wages paid according to the work being done is as follows:

- Employees are paid at least 300%, not including holiday pay, paid leave for employees receiving daily wages. Thus, employees are paid a total of 400%.

In case the employee works at night, he/she shall be paid an additional amount of at least 30% of the salary calculated according to the unit price of salary or actual wages paid for the work of a normal working day. The employee shall be paid a total of 430% of the salary.

Employees who work overtime at night, in addition to being paid according to the above regulations, will also be paid an additional 20% of their salary calculated according to the unit price of salary or salary according to the work done during the day of a normal working day or a weekly day off or a holiday. Accordingly, employees will be paid at least 490% of their salary for a normal working day.

According to the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code, employees are entitled to take 1 day off with full pay on Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month), 1 Victory Day on April 30 and 1 International Labor Day on May 1.

Hung King's Commemoration Day (10/3 lunar month), Victory Day (30/4) and International Labor Day (1/5) fall on the weekend, adjacent to each other. Therefore, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers will be compensated for the weekly day off on the following working day.

Thus, on the occasion of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers will have 5 consecutive days off, from April 29 (March 10 of the lunar calendar) to May 3; that is, from Saturday to Wednesday.
