For the first time, Hanoi city organized the Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2023 with the theme "Hanoi Autumn - Come to love" to promote destinations and tourism products in Hanoi Autumn, attracting tourists to the capital.
This information was announced by Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, during the event information session held on September 20.
The 2023 Hanoi Autumn Festival takes place from September 29 to October 1 at the Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street. The festival has a scale of 150 booths divided into design areas, arranged along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Le Thach Street and the Octagonal House area, including the area introducing tourism products, typical tourist destinations and the spaces "Autumn Colors", "Autumn Flavors", "Autumn Gifts", "Garden of Light". Many attractive tourist destinations in Hanoi in the fall are introduced such as Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi Old Quarter, One Pillar Pagoda, Me Linh Flower Area, Duong Lam Ancient Village.... In particular, the booths also simulate Pho Phai House and Ta Hien culinary street corner...
The festival has the participation of 10 districts such as Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Me Linh, Quoc Oai, Ung Hoa, Dong Anh, Ba Vi, Gia Lam... to promote and introduce the potential for tourism development and tourism products, and local heritages. The festival attracts 14 provinces and cities to participate in tourism promotion such as Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Phu Yen, Dong Nai, An Giang...
In addition to the opening ceremony with a unique art program, the 2023 Hanoi Autumn Festival also includes a MICE & Golf Tourism Development Conference and a Golf Tourism Survey in Hanoi; an exhibition of Hanoi Autumn photos; a performance of Ao Dai costumes "Wedding Ao Dai costumes through time"; a performance of Ao Dai by the Vietnam Ao Dai Club; an experience of Hanoi's green rice space, the Trach Xa Ao Dai sewing heritage. The highlight is the elaborately staged Hanoi Autumn Carnival with a scale of 1,500 people taking place on the morning of October 1.
Along with the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2023, Hanoi city will also organize the Hanoi Cuisine Exhibition Space 2023 at the Hanoi Children's Palace. The Hanoi Cuisine Exhibition Space with the theme "Quintessence of Vietnamese Cuisine" gathers 51 booths of professional associations, artisans, businesses, and famous culinary establishments in Hanoi and the whole country, introducing attractive dishes such as beef pho, chicken pho, bun thang, fish cake, lantern green rice cake, Ho Tay snail noodle soup, Phu Thuong sticky rice...
In this space, many activities will take place: Vietnamese Pho Festival, Mooncake making experience, performance of traditional Hanoi cuisine by famous culinary artists and delicious dishes prepared by local people, activity "Give love, receive happiness with coupons of 1000 free bowls of pho to donate to charity fund"...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh said that the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2023 and Hanoi Cuisine Exhibition Space 2023 are one of the biggest tourism promotion events of Hanoi on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023). CNN (USA) has chosen Hanoi as one of the 12 most ideal destinations in the world in the fall. The very unique attraction of Hanoi's fall makes not only the people of the capital but also domestic and foreign tourists very fond of it. Hanoi's tourism industry is gradually exploiting the beauty of fall, building it into an attractive and creative tourism product.
