Dare to think, dare to do

Chon Thanh town is one of the localities with a strong women's start-up movement in the province. According to Ms. Mac Thi Thanh Binh, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the town, over the past 5 years, the locality has supported 103 women to start their own businesses with a total budget of more than 2 billion VND. In addition to capital from the Social Policy Bank, the unions at all levels have flexibly mobilized from revolving funds, socialization, and models of women helping each other develop the economy .

During this time, Chon Thanh supported 18 projects to participate in startup competitions. As a result, 7 projects won provincial prizes, 3 projects at the Southern region level and 2 projects at the Central level. Many models after winning prizes continued to develop well, creating jobs and stable income, becoming the nucleus to spread the entrepreneurial spirit in the community. In addition to providing capital support, women's associations at all levels in the town also coordinated to build 48 booths to connect product consumption, helping women promote and expand the market.

Chon Thanh town is one of the localities with a strong movement of creative women entrepreneurs, with many rich and effective ideas and products.

Ms. Binh shared: Accompanying women in creative startups, we have flexibly mobilized all resources, from supporting access to capital, promoting products at fairs and seminars to building booths to connect consumption. Most of the projects have brought about clear results, not only contributing to increasing income but also inspiring and creating a new vitality for women members and the startup movement in the area.

At the provincial level, in the period of 2017-2025, Binh Phuoc has established 4 new “Women’s Entrepreneurship Clubs”, supported 1,645 women to start businesses, guided the construction and establishment of 174 stores to consume women’s entrepreneurial products. In addition, every year, all levels of the association organize Women’s Entrepreneurship Day to encourage, search for and nurture creative ideas. Women’s creative startup ideas, models and projects are always highly appreciated by all levels and sectors.

Mr. Phan Minh Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, member of the Steering Committee of Project 939, said: The implementation of Project 939 in the province has been carried out seriously, associated with many practical activities such as seminars, talks, skills training and innovative startup competitions. Notably, women always account for a high proportion in both quantity and quality of ideas, demonstrating an increasingly prominent role in the startup ecosystem.

Many ideas and projects of Binh Phuoc women are not only limited to the province but also spread to the region and the whole country. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, an expert at the Vietnam Center for Innovation and Climate Change Response, commented: “Despite many difficulties, the start-up movement in Binh Phuoc is very vibrant, especially from women. I am truly moved by the resilient and persistent spirit of women, both taking care of their families and devoting themselves to economic development, surpassing themselves to affirm success with many good, bold and effective ideas.”

Continuing the beautiful story from Project 939

From small kitchens to green factories, from simple ideas to nationally honored projects, the entrepreneurial journey of Binh Phuoc women is contributing to creating positive movements in the community.

With the attention and support of local authorities, women's associations at all levels, and the coordination of many departments and branches, the women's start-up movement in Binh Phuoc has developed strongly, spread widely, and left its mark with effective models, practical ideas, and innovative and sustainable solutions. Not only affirming their intelligence, mettle, and position, women also play an important role in local economic development, spreading the spirit of innovation and sustainable development. They are entrepreneurs with their hearts, will, and responsibility to their families and society.
