The paparazzi in the green forest

BPO - In the middle of the vast green forest of Bu Gia Map, for many years, there has been a man quietly following the footsteps of all kinds of animals and plants. Not to hunt, but to capture beautiful moments with a camera lens with the desire to bring nature closer to humans and, importantly, to spread the message of protecting wildlife. That is Mr. Kieu Dinh Thap, who is working at Bu Gia Map National Park, Bu Gia Map district.

With more than 20 years of experience in the forest, Mr. Kieu Dinh Thap, Head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation at Bu Gia Map National Park, not only specializes in researching and preserving biodiversity but is also passionate about photography in the forest ecological environment. Every day, following the traces of rare animals, he patiently records the most vivid moments of nature.

Mr. Kieu Dinh Thap camouflaged himself, patiently hid under the bushes, and took pictures of animals appearing naturally in the forest.

Mr. Thap shared: To have vivid photos of nature and animals, first of all, you must have passion. When taking photos of animals in nature, I feel extremely excited because it always changes shades, moments that I cannot predict. Therefore, to capture a special moment in nature, sometimes you have to wait 3 years, 5 years, or even longer.

To get the most realistic and beautiful photos, Mr. Thap wakes up early, goes deep into the forest just to hunt for a moment of gibbons, black-shanked doucs or deer... in the morning mist. "In the primeval forest of Bu Gia Map National Park, traveling is very far and difficult. I have waded through streams, endured cold, thunderstorms in the forest or faced insects, leeches, snakes, centipedes... and could encounter dangers that I could not foresee. But when I capture the moment of a bird flying, a nocturnal reptile or a group of langurs hiding on a high branch, I feel that all the effort is worth it" - Mr. Thap expressed.

Beautiful photos are not only valuable documents about all species and forest ecosystems, but also convey messages to help people better understand the value and beauty of nature, thereby joining hands to protect it. Mr. Thap shared: Through the photos, I hope everyone will appreciate the value of nature that has been formed over thousands of years. I want to use the images I hunt to tell stories about nature, so that everyone can see the beauty and value of all species and forest ecosystems and join hands to preserve the primeval forest, as well as protect our green lungs.

To love nature, one must first understand it. And Kieu Dinh Thap’s photos are the bridge that brings wild beauty closer to the human heart. Then, each person will appreciate and love nature more, preserve the forests, protect all species of life and our green future.

Moments of nature and wildlife are captured by Mr. Thap with passion and deep love for nature.
