Lang Son thoroughly implements the pilot model of 2-level local government

On the afternoon of June 17, Lang Son Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of administrative units of Lang Son province in 2025 and to disseminate some contents of the activities of the political system at the commune and ward levels when implementing the 2-level local government model.

According to Resolution 1672/NQ-UBTVQH15 According to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Lang Son province has reorganized 194 commune-level administrative units into 65 grassroots-level administrative units, including 61 communes and 4 wards.

Accordingly, on June 26 and 27, Lang Son province organized a trial operation of the organizational apparatus in 65 new communes and wards.

During that time, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations of communes and wards will handle situations before, during and after operation; organize meetings of the Party Executive Committee at the commune level, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the commune level, and regular meetings at the commune level; thereby receiving and processing documents and public administrative services.

At the conference, delegates focused on contributing ideas to clarify the preparation work for the operation of the two-level local government; at the same time, they contributed ideas related to paying attention to investing in expanding and upgrading working headquarters, strengthening training and propaganda work on the operation of the two-level local government model.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, proposed: The Party Committee of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee closely and promptly directs the arrangement of headquarters, vehicles, handover of tasks, assets, documents and files; directs departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities to guide and support communes and wards to promptly resolve difficulties and problems in the transfer process; coordinates in organizing training courses and professional training for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in decentralized and authorized fields.

In addition, the Organizing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee urgently advised on the termination of the activities of district and commune-level Party Committees to establish commune-level Party Committees directly under the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

The Provincial People's Council Party Committee presides over and coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board to proactively carry out the appointment of the People's Council, People's Committee and leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department advises on the organization and implementation of propaganda work on the process and results of the implementation of the arrangement of administrative units at all levels and the construction of a 2-level local government organization model.

Local leaders focused on directing the completion of tasks within their authority, inspecting and directing the preparation for the operation of the two-level local government model, and the preparation for the Party Congress in newly established communes.
