City leaders visit the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse, Champasak province
According to Consul General Ta Phuong Dung, there are currently more than 15,000 Vietnamese people living, working and investing in the 4 provinces of Southern Laos; including about 95 businesses. In recent times, Da Nang has actively supported the provinces in promoting trade,education and training, and social security activities. Informing the general situation in the localities, Consul General Ta Phuong Dung suggested that Da Nang city continue to effectively maintain cooperation programs; especially promoting investment, trade, and tourism; supporting the construction of community learning centers; equipping Vietnamese language centers, friendship schools, etc.
On behalf of the delegation, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh sent greetings to the staff and highly appreciated the activities of the Consulate General in Pakse, contributing to fostering the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Da Nang and the localities in particular. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also provided an overview of the city's socio-economic situation, as well as the expected merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city in the near future; affirmed that he would coordinate with the Consulate General to continue to implement the signed cooperation in a systematic, systematic and effective manner in the direction of innovation and sustainability. Regarding the recommendations of the Consulate General, Da Nang will consider implementing them appropriately./.
