Interdisciplinary team to inspect 9 resettlement areas of Van Ninh expressway

On August 28, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung has just signed a decision to establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect the implementation of investment in the construction of 9 resettlement areas and relocation of technical infrastructure to serve the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project through the province.

People are building houses in one of the 9 resettlement areas of Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, Quang Tri province.

According to the decision, the inspection team is led by Mr. Van Duc Loi - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction and Mr. Tran Huu Minh - Deputy Chief Inspector of the province as deputy head of the team.

The 9 members of the inspection team are leaders of the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Finance, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Justice, and Transport; Chief Inspector of the Department of Construction, a Deputy Head of the Technical Infrastructure Department - Department of Construction and leaders of the Inspectorate of the Department of Transport.

The inspection team is responsible for planning and organizing the inspection of the implementation of investment in the construction of resettlement areas and relocation of technical infrastructure serving the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project, fully reporting on the compliance with the law in construction activities of the investor, the Project Management Board and related organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law.

The North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section through Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, has a total route length of more than 65.5km, of which the section through Quang Tri province is about 32.5km, passing through Vinh Linh, Gio Linh and Cam Lo districts.

The section passing through Quang Tri province has 9 resettlement areas invested in construction, 61 technical infrastructure relocation locations, belonging to the sub-project of site clearance for the North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section passing through Quang Tri province.

Previously, in September 2022, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province issued a decision on assigning the task of being the investor of the sub-project of site clearance for the North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section, in Quang Tri province.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province assigned the People's Committees of Vinh Linh district, Gio Linh district, and Cam Lo district to be the investors of the Sub-project of site clearance through these districts. The Provincial Steering Committee was assigned to be the investor of the Sub-project of site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure; representative of the Department of Transport (standing agency of the Steering Committee).

The funding source for implementation comes from the North-South expressway project, Van Ninh - Cam Lo section.
