(CLO) On November 11th, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office announced that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City had issued a Decision on the establishment of a Task Force and a Support Team. The Task Force will address obstacles in reviewing and reporting on the capital sources for forming the fund of state-owned housing and land for resettlement purposes.
The Task Force consists of 34 members, headed by Mr. Tran Hoang Quan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction. The Task Force is responsible for coordinating with departments, agencies, localities, and units managing state-owned apartments and land plots for resettlement purposes, including: the Ho Chi Minh City Housing Development Fund, the Ho Chi Minh City Land Development Fund, the Ho Chi Minh City Housing Management and Business Company Limited, and public service companies in districts and communes... to carry out assigned tasks in the process of reviewing and reporting on the capital sources for forming housing and land funds for resettlement.
In addition, the Task Force is responsible for managing and allocating housing and land funds for resettlement in specific projects; guiding the payment of revenue to the city budget as prescribed; guiding the implementation of the final settlement of public investment capital for completed projects as prescribed; and handling outstanding debts to be settled upon handover of housing and land funds to the Center for Housing Management and Construction Inspection for management and operation. This Task Force will handle transitional issues upon handover of housing and land funds to the Center for Housing Management and Construction Inspection.
The working group reports its findings to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and proposes that the Chairman direct the resolution of any outstanding issues that are beyond the working group's authority.
Meanwhile, the Support Team, comprising 70 members, is headed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of the Center for Housing Management and Construction Inspection, Department of Construction. The Support Team's nhiệm vụ is to assist the Task Force and implement the directives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee related to the Task Force's responsibilities.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requires the Task Force and its supporting team to submit a written report (through the Department of Internal Affairs) regarding their self-dissolution after completing their nhiệm vụ.
According to Pham Dang Ho, Head of the Housing Development and Real Estate Market Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, the locality has allocated 5,451 apartments and land plots to serve resettlement and temporary housing for 258 key public investment projects in the area. These include many large projects such as the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, Ring Road 2, and the Xuyen Tam Canal... However, the housing and land fund is still insufficient to meet the needs of the people.
To accelerate urban renovation and ensure stable living conditions for residents, the Ho Chi Minh City government has taken decisive actions to facilitate the formation of housing funds for resettlement purposes.
The task force to resolve issues related to land and housing funds for resettlement is one of many efforts by the Ho Chi Minh City government.
