Through the contest, not only will children have the opportunity to express their wishes and dreams for a happy home filled with love, but they will also raise their awareness and actions in environmental protection; encourage them to enhance their thinking, practice green skills, green behavior, and promote a green lifestyle, creating a positive premise for their future self-development."
Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children's Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Dream House 2024" contest spoke at the award ceremony.
The theme of this year's contest, the Organizing Committee chose the image of the green Nam O area in Lieu Chieu district, Da Nang city, a land that is considered a new development direction of the city. Nam O is a typical place for the combination of cultural history and green natural landscape with the highlight of Nam O rapids.
"Each painting by each child not only contains the determination to complete the work, but also contains many humane emotions and perspectives on life through the eyes of children. Among the paintings sent to the Organizing Committee, we saw the scene of a mother staying up many nights with her child, absorbed in completing the work; the father understood and loved his child after seeing the painting with the dream that the child put into the work.
We also see the passion for painting of the children who are still immersed in each stroke of the painting, sending it to the Organizing Committee even though they are in the hospital. We also see disadvantaged and orphaned children overcoming adversity to send their dreams of a bright home... Perhaps there are many other profound things that we have not seen. All of these things have created the value of the work and the attraction of the Dream House painting contest", the Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized.
At the award ceremony on the morning of June 1, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to honor 275 excellent contestants who won First, Second, Third, Fourth and Companion prizes.
