The contest "Imprints of Youth in Me" ended with the award ceremony and book launch on August 8.
The award ceremony and book launch from the Youth Imprint in Me writing contest will take place at 9am on August 8 at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, Ho Chi Minh City.
Launched from May 24 to June 30, the contest attracted 700 entries in over a month. Hundreds of readers sent stories and precious memories about themselves and their families associated with Tuoi Tre newspaper; as well as their concerns, worries, and emotional feelings.
The contest was organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper with the support of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC (CC1), on the occasion of the newspaper's 50th anniversary.
Youthful Imprints in Me, in Each Reader
At the award ceremony, the organizing committee will honor the winners of the contest, including the first, second and third prize winners: Dang Hoang An, Nguyen Manh Huy and Lam Minh Trang; along with 10 consolation prizes and 10 prizes voted by readers.
Through the first prize winning article entitled Tuoi Tre lifts me up, so I can continue walking - author Dang Hoang An, a young man in a wheelchair full of determination, was inspired by Tuoi Tre to live through the article "Nghin ngay cuu con" (A thousand days to save my son) about mother Pham Thi Cuc and her son overcoming adversity.
Thanks to that article, Dang Hoang An regained his faith, was reborn and learned to live with a wheelchair. He considered Tuoi Tre newspaper as his soul mate.

In addition, the book titled Imprints of Youth in Me will select entries from the contest, especially those from readers and experts who have contributed to Tuoi Tre over the past half century.
According to journalist Nguyen Truong Uy - deputy general secretary of the editorial board of Tuoi Tre newspaper, this book was made in the spirit of "for readers - by readers - with readers", a prominent spirit of Tuoi Tre over the past half century.
