TPO - On the evening of June 14 at Tay Ho Stadium (Hanoi), Le Van Tuan created a shining moment when he launched a precise high kick, defeating Pham Van Nam to win the 56kg championship belt at LION Championship 23.

LION Championship 23 ended with one of the most impressive knockouts in the history of the tournament. In the highlight match, despite being underestimated compared to champion Pham Van Nam, who successfully defended his title against Asian wushu gold medalist Dinh Van Huong, Le Van Tuan still stepped into the ring with confidence and sharp strategy.

After a period of initial exploration, the unexpected happened. Le Van Tuan launched a dangerous high kick, his shin hitting hard on Pham Van Nam's head, making him dizzy.

Immediately, a follow-up punch and a series of merciless punches caused Pham Van Nam to lose consciousness, forcing the referee to intervene.

With this victory, the fighter from C88 not only won the prestigious belt but also stepped up to the top of Vietnamese MMA for the first time after three seasons of waiting.

Le Van Tuan's victory also means Pham Van Nam's dream of holding the belt forever has been shattered.

In another notable match, veteran Tran Trong Kim continued to demonstrate his superiority and experience when facing young talent Bui Dinh Khai.
