Mai Phuong "sheds the label" of beauty queen, surprising with the image of a unique singer

(Dan Tri) - After more than a year of "silence", Miss Mai Phuong returns as a singer, hoping to be recognized as a real artist.

On the evening of October 31, Miss Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong held the launch of her first music album - A beautiful mess , marking the official milestone of her debut as a singer.

After leaving her old management company and joining a new unit, living with singer Phuong My Chi, Mai Phuong has been almost "silent" for the past 15 months. Besides studying, the beauty born in 1999 has spent all her time composing and making music, preparing for a new direction.

"For the past 15 months, I have been planning for a comeback. Luckily, I met music-loving, like-minded and supportive colleagues. Now, I am calmer to express my wishes through music," Mai Phuong shared at the event.

For over a year, she has been constantly honing her vocal skills, composing and recording herself to ensure the best quality for the product. The preparation process was carried out methodically, going through 4 changes in the release plan to perfect the album in the most perfect way.

Producer DTAP shared: "Since knowing Mai Phuong decided to pursue a professional singing career, we were really surprised and impressed. We met you at Miss World Vietnam 2022 , but temporarily putting aside existing successes to start a new journey is something to be appreciated."

Singer Phuong My Chi was also present to support her senior. She shared that over the past year, Mai Phuong has spent a lot of time practicing her singing, dancing and composing skills.

"I was really moved to see Mai Phuong standing on stage today, after so much effort and perseverance," the singer shared.

At the event, Mai Phuong performed 4 songs in a row: My Mieu , Dau Ru Wet Knee , Corset and IMperfect , demonstrating diversity in musical and performance styles.

Completely different from the gentle beauty queen image before, she appeared energetic, sexy and individual in style and fashion . Many viewers commented: "Miss Mai Phuong is no longer recognizable."

The highlight of the show was her performance of Corset with SYA - a Malaysian rapper, making the stage explode with strong energy and surprises for the audience.

A beautiful mess is Mai Phuong's debut product as a singer and composer, advised by DTAP and produced by the group INUS. The album includes 11 songs: First Face , QUEENERGY , Gown And Sneakers , My Mieu , IMperfect , Corset , 99.MP3 , Dau ruff uot goi , Moonwalk , Inner supermodel and Vedette .

The album A beautiful mess brings together 4 international artists: Awrii (composer from Curacao island), SYA (Malaysian rapper), Danilla (Indonesian singer, songwriter); F.Hero (Thai rapper, producer).
