Mercedes-AMG G63 is one of the special models of the three-pointed star brand, possessing high recognition and being sought after by many car enthusiasts in Vietnam. There was a time when the genuine version was constantly "sold out", customers who wanted to own it had to deposit and wait for up to half a year. The appeal of the Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV has caused the private car market to "inflate" its price to 16-17 billion VND. However, due to the fluctuations in the economic situation, the popularity of this high-performance SUV has decreased significantly.
Currently, many dealers still have Mercedes-AMG G63 cars manufactured in 2022 and 2023 (VIN 2023) in stock, forcing them to offer strong incentives to push inventory. At some dealers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the Mercedes-AMG G63 VIN 2022 is being offered for sale at VND9.9 billion – a reduction of up to VND1.85 billion compared to the listed price. The seller said that the number of cars left is not much. Notably, this price is on par with some used G63 models. For example, a 2022 G63 with about 5,000 km on the clock is being offered for sale by a private car showroom in Ho Chi Minh City for VND9.888 billion.
Not only the G63, in the first half of 2025, many other Mercedes-Benz Vietnam models are also heavily discounted to stimulate demand. Mercedes-Benz C-Class - the company's flagship model - was once offered a discount of 200-250 million VND by dealers for VIN 2024 cars. Mercedes-Benz E-Class at a dealer in Hanoi is deeply discounted for the E200 version (VIN 2023), down to 1.999 billion VND, 391 million lower than the listed price. The E300 AMG variant (VIN 2023) is reduced by 680 million VND, from 2.95 billion to 2.27 billion VND. Not only Mercedes-Benz, many other luxury car brands in Vietnam also offer big incentives to stimulate demand in the context of slow consumption.
Volkswagen, for example, has been continuously supporting 50-100% of registration fees for VIN 2024 models in recent months, with incentives worth up to VND300 million. The price cuts and strong promotions from manufacturers show that purchasing power in the luxury car market is under great pressure, forcing brands to compete fiercely to attract customers.
