America's oldest magazine Time announced the list of 100 greatest places in 2025 (World's Greatest Places 2025). In which, Ho Chi Minh City urban railway is also included in the above category.
Description of the metro line, one of the writers of Time After 12 years of construction, the first metro line in Vietnam's largest city opened in December 2024. The arrival of the vehicle is a triumph for the megacity, which is notorious for its motorbike-choked streets, writes Kait Hanson.
The magazine, founded in 1923, suggests that visitors can take a break from the crowded streets by using the metro, visiting destinations along the route such as the City Theater, Nguyen Hue walking street and the bustling backpacker street Bui Vien in District 1.
At the top destinations in Asia, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro is located next to the Wangdue Choeling Royal Museum in Bhutan, built in 1858. In the past, this was the residence of the king and local leaders.
According to the official website, the museum's mission is to be a vibrant cultural complex showcasing Bhutan's history, arts, crafts and architecture.
The complex will serve as a replicable example of adaptive reuse of a heritage site in Bhutan, through research, education, exhibition and community outreach.
