The current hot and dry weather is forecast to continue in the coming days due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough connecting with the hot low pressure area in the West, combined with the foehn effect.

Meteorological experts warn people to limit outdoor activities between 11am and 3pm, and to drink plenty of water and eat nutritious food to protect their health.

Localities need to strengthen fire and explosion prevention and control, forest fires and ensure power grid safety. People need to proactively take sun protection measures, especially the elderly, children and outdoor workers.
