Tourists visiting the Imperial City

Accordingly, people are allowed to enter the Imperial City, Tu Duc Tomb, Khai Dinh Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb, Hon Chen Palace, An Dinh Palace, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, etc. free of charge from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Visitors only need to present their ID card when entering the gate.

The center said this activity aims to encourage the community to learn and experience the cultural and historical values ​​of the ancient capital of Hue, as well as create conditions for people and tourists to have more options on special occasions of the heritage industry.

On this occasion, people coming to Hue should not forget to visit the Secret Court (Tam Toa) at 33 Tong Duy Tan (Phu Xuan ward). From November 21 to 27, three exhibitions will take place here, including: the documentary photo exhibition "The Privy Council of the Nguyen Dynasty (1834 - 1945): Space journey and the mark of the royal government"; the exhibition "Donated artifacts" with more than 50 typical artifacts out of nearly 500 antiques donated to the museum system from 1995 to present; and the fine art exhibition "Hue Features 3", introducing paintings depicting the beauty of Hue culture and people.

From January 1, 2025, according to the new regulations of the People's Committee of Hue City, Vietnamese citizens will be exempted from visiting relics on four major holidays: the first day of Lunar New Year, Hue Liberation Day (March 26), National Day (September 2) and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). This year, the city also applied free admission for the first time on August 19 - the anniversary of the August Revolution.
