During his 15 years in Hue, Phan Boi Chau lived a simple and harmonious life in the love of the people of Hue and was affectionately called "Old Man Ben Ngu". Although living in the situation of "fish in a bowl, bird in a cage", Phan Boi Chau still inspired, inspired and awakened the spirit of patriotism and sense of responsibility to all classes of people, especially the youth and students such as comrade Nguyen Chi Dieu, General Secretary Le Duan, General Vo Nguyen Giap... On October 29, 1940, Phan Boi Chau breathed his last at the thatched house on Ben Ngu slope.
