The Ministry of Public Security was asked to launch a peak campaign to attack and suppress drug crimes nationwide.

The Ministry of Public Security is requested to launch a high-point campaign to attack and suppress drug crimes nationwide; continue to vigorously deploy the high-point campaign to combat and eradicate complex drug hotspots and locations; focus on investigating and destroying organizations and networks of illegal drug trafficking and transportation between provinces and across countries; dismantle networks, arrest masterminds, ringleaders and drug retailers; verify, trace, freeze and seize all assets acquired from drug crimes; thoroughly and comprehensively handle related crimes for strict punishment, deterrence and general prevention.

The Ministry of Public Security directs the police of units and localities to continue to vigorously deploy the peak of the general review, detection, and statistics of drug addicts, illegal drug users, and people under post-rehabilitation management to have strict management measures, especially those showing signs of psychosis and "stoned"; focus on sending the maximum number of drug addicts who meet the legal requirements and the number of addicts at high risk of committing crimes and violating the law to compulsory rehabilitation.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to direct the health sector to closely coordinate with the police force to strengthen the implementation of identifying drug addiction in localities; inspect, check, and strictly manage the business activities, purchase, sale, and use of drug ingredients that are addictive drugs, psychotropic drugs, drug precursors, addictive drugs, psychotropic drugs, and drug precursors used in medicine, to prevent subjects from taking advantage of the production of synthetic drugs...

The Ministry of Education and Training has stepped up propaganda on the consequences and harms of drugs; tricks to entice and entice young people to use drugs, especially synthetic drugs and drugs "disguised" as foods; and solutions and prevention skills.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also requested a number of relevant ministries to study the report of the Ministry of Public Security and promptly take appropriate measures to strengthen the prevention and fight against drug crimes related to Fentanyl.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, although the authorities have not yet discovered any cases related to the illegal production and trade of Fentanyl in Vietnam, nor have they discovered any cases of illegal drug users testing positive for Fentanyl, Vietnam is still at risk of facing illegal production, trade, transportation and use of Fentanyl; there is a potential risk that Vietnam could become a transit area for Fentanyl chemicals and precursors.

Therefore, the Ministry of Public Security proposed to direct the Ministry of Health to strictly control the number of drugs containing Fentanyl being used in the medical sector, and absolutely not to put them on the market illegally.
