MobiFone launches online English playground for primary school students

At the end of 2024, MobiFone officially launched an English playground for primary school students in grades 3, 4, and 5 called English Beat - Primary.

As one of the leading network operators in Vietnam, MobiFone not only creates many outstanding marks in the telecommunications field but is also a pioneer in building and developingeducational programs, with the desire to accompany generations of students to improve their knowledge and skills.

Launched in 2023, English Beat - an English playground designed by MobiFone exclusively for high school students has successfully affirmed its reputation through 2 seasons of organization. Up to now, English Beat has gone through more than 15 provinces and cities, attracting the participation of more than 75,000 students from more than 350 high schools nationwide.

Riding on the success, MobiFone has recently continued to launch an online English playground for primary school students called English Beat - Primary. Based on the experience from English Beat, English Beat - Primary promises to be a useful, interesting and challenging academic playground, especially aimed at primary school students.

Accordingly, English Beat - Primary is a series of English playgrounds organized by MobiFone in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training of provinces/cities for students in grades 3, 4, and 5 nationwide, with the goal of helping them grasp and enhance their knowledge, comprehensively improve their skills and, most of all, prepare for the future, ready to enter the period of international integration.

English Beat - Primary is a place where students can compete with each other, thereby promoting the movement of learning English for primary school age nationwide. Through this playground, units and schools can also find outstanding factors for major English competitions in the future.

English Beat - Primary is professionally sponsored by prestigious educational institutions in the MobiFone ecosystem, mobiEdu and the international standard English learning platform MobiEnglish. In particular, the mobiEdu ecosystem possesses teaching standards suitable for current learning needs, while MobiEnglish - MobiFone's exclusive English learning application will be a useful companion to help students review and improve their level.

MobiEnglish is designed to apply advanced teaching technologies with outstanding features such as speaking practice with i-Speak technology, online classes with native teachers, a diverse lecture library, suitable for many levels... The knowledge system and exercises on MobiEnglish are constantly updated, comprehensively designed to help students improve all 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, thereby creating a thorough stepping stone before they enter the English Beat - Primary competition rounds.

The English Beat - Primary playground is organized in 4 rounds, including 3 online rounds: school level, district level, provincial level, and the offline final round with the theme of English Speaking Gala. The combination of the 2 forms of competition not only comprehensively assesses the Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills of the contestants but also encourages students to confidently demonstrate their speaking and communication skills.

The total prize value of the online rounds in each province is up to more than 400 million VND, including gifts and in-kind items. For the School round, students who achieve the standard score will receive a certificate of merit "Excellent English Students English Beat - Primary School Level". The TOP 3 students in each grade 3, 4, 5 of each school will receive a 3-month MobiEnglish course worth 150,000 VND.

For the District level round, students who achieve the benchmark score will receive a certificate of merit "Excellent English Beat - Primary District Level Students". The TOP 10 students from each grade 3, 4, and 5 in each district will receive a 6-month MobiEnglish course worth 300,000 VND and a drawstring backpack printed with the program's logo.

In the provincial round, students who achieve the benchmark score will receive a certificate of merit "Excellent English Beat - Primary Provincial Students". The TOP 10 students in each grade 3, 4, and 5 of the province will receive a 1-year MobiEnglish course worth 600,000 VND and a T-shirt with the program's logo printed on it.

After the Provincial round, the Organizing Committee will coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, the Departments of Education and Training and the schools to select the best students from among the candidates who passed the Provincial round to represent the school (1 candidate from each school) to compete directly at the Gala Debate Round scheduled to be held in December to find the best champion.

The English Speaking Gala Round awards for outstanding individuals include: 1 Special prize worth 2 million VND, 3 first prizes worth 1 million VND each, 5 second prizes worth 750,000 VND each, 6 third prizes worth 500,000 VND each and 10 consolation prizes worth 300,000 VND each.

All participating students will receive a Certificate of Participation in the English Debate Gala "English Beat - Primary" for the 2024-2025 school year, each student will receive a T-shirt printed with the program logo and a souvenir. In addition, the organizing committee will also award collective prizes to units and schools with the most students passing the provincial round and schools with students winning special prizes in the English Debate Gala round.

Currently, the English Beat - Primary playground series for the 2024 - 2025 school year has officially launched in the first 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Bac Giang and Ninh Binh. This is not only a useful playground but also an important step in improving the quality of comprehensive education, helping students better access international standards.
