From the humanistic verses of Kieu to the pure lotus image, the exhibition "Lotus and Kieu" Cultural Space is like a bridge between tradition and modernity, between the souls of today's Vietnamese people and the depth of the heritage left by our ancestors.

Iconic meeting
The cultural space is impressively designed, combining calligraphy, lotus flowers, ao dai and many traditional materials such as do paper, xuyen chi paper... creating a multi-dimensional aesthetic experience.
Here, the unique calligraphy works of two calligraphers, Doc Dinh and Ngoc Thuy, depict verses from the Tale of Kieu – Nguyen Du's literary masterpiece.
In it, many verses contain the image of the lotus flower - a symbol of nobility and purity - depicted with soaring ink strokes, imbued with the spirit of Asia.
A special highlight is the portrait of the great poet Nguyen Du, crafted from layers of dried lotus leaves, by artisan Nguyen Van Bay in Dong Thap .
The work is not only a deep tribute to the cultural celebrity, but also a vivid testament to the vitality and expressive depth of lotus culture in the Vietnamese mind.

This is an interesting idea of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, Head of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, and also a collector who has organized many exhibitions promoting the beauty of lotus flowers.
She said: “I have made many portraits of famous people such as female general Nguyen Thi Dinh, revolutionary Nguyen Thi Thap... When I decided to create this cultural space, I immediately thought of creating a portrait of the great poet Nguyen Du.
I asked the Nguyen family in Tien Dien, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh to provide information and worked with artisan Nguyen Van Bay.
With the work about the great poet, through the layers of dried lotus leaves, we hope viewers can feel the spirit of a Confucian scholar, humble yet noble."
Not only a static exhibition space, "Sen and Kieu Cultural Space" is also a destination for interactive art experiences.
During the exhibition, calligraphers will organize workshops on calligraphy and lotus painting, sharing creative inspiration with young people and visitors. These activities are expected to arouse the love of national culture in the community, especially the younger generation.

In particular, designer Lan Huong also brought to the show the Ao Dai collection "Sac Sen Ha Thanh" with elaborate designs, meticulous hand embroidery, combining paintings, poetry and traditional materials that accompanied Kieu's life: from her youth by the lotus pond, the days of wandering, to the time of reunion...
“The portrait of Kieu immerses her soul in the pure lotus scent, the connection of love with nature, all things and the intersection of the universe. All of these features are conveyed by me in each Ao Dai, contributing to honoring the graceful beauty of women in general and Kieu in poetry in particular,” designer Lan Huong expressed.
Connecting past-present-future
Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Tru, Chairman of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, commented: “The cultural space “Lotus and Kieu” is a unique initiative, a subtle combination of two noble symbols: Lotus and Tale of Kieu.
This is a creative approach to introduce national cultural heritage in a vivid way, strongly inspiring the public."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam emphasized the connection of the exhibition with the broader cultural journey: “Lotus is a flower that enters the life of beliefs, poetry, and philosophy. And Kieu is a story that reflects the depth of Vietnamese morality and philosophy of life.
Combining these two symbols is how we hope to inspire young people to approach heritage with real emotion.”

It is known that right after the exhibition, the tour "Heritage Journey connecting and experiencing Kieu culture" will be organized, taking participants from Hanoi to Tien Dien (Ha Tinh), Nguyen Du's hometown.
The program aims to connect the ancient cultural space of Thang Long with the land that produced the great poet, thereby exploring the depths of heritage, from literature to life.
“This is a meaningful and interesting journey that will bring us to the heritage values of famous people, provide us with core values to maintain and promote the fine traditions of a family lineage, and explain to us the mysteries of the homeland of talented people,” said Ms. Tam.
