To strengthen the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, limit infections and deaths, the Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health to closely monitor the situation and developments of the epidemic, regularly assess and analyze the situation and the most risky factors; proactively and actively propagate and develop scenarios to respond to all possible situations. Continue to carry out Covid-19 vaccination, sweep vaccination, and booster vaccination according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health , especially speeding up the vaccination progress for children aged 5 to 17 years old. Direct hospitals to organize well the triage, admission, emergency care, and treatment of Covid-19 patients, especially severe cases, to minimize human deaths due to the epidemic. Avoid cross-infection in medical examination and treatment facilities, and have a plan for triage and treatment, support lower-level facilities, and avoid hospital overload. Continue to monitor cases of home isolation, especially children or the elderly and people with underlying diseases. When detecting severe illness, they must be immediately isolated and treated at medical examination and treatment facilities. Advise and promptly propose to the Provincial People's Committee effective and flexible disease prevention and control measures, suitable to the epidemic situation in each locality. The Department of Education and Training directs schools to coordinate with the health sector to organize propaganda, education, and raise awareness of disease prevention and control measures. The provincial press and media agencies have stepped up propaganda to effectively implement the three pillars of epidemic prevention and control. Districts, towns and cities in Lao Cai province must absolutely not be subjective or negligent. Continue to strengthen the direction of the District Health Centers to advise on epidemic prevention and control work in the district. Organize regular inspection teams to monitor, evaluate, and urge communes and units to implement epidemic prevention and control activities in the area.
