Mbeumo is said to be ready to join MU.

MU are in the process of strengthening their squad and targeting players who can add creativity to the attack. One of the names the club is interested in is Bryan Mbeumo, the star attacker of Brentford. This striker had a great Premier League season 2024/25 with 20 goals and 8 assists.

With the addition of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, United wanted a striker who could play in the No. 10 position, and Mbeumo was the ideal target. However, this deal was not easy. Brentford rejected United's first offer of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons. Undeterred, the Manchester team raised the price to more than £60 million and the deal was likely to be easy to close.

Although Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Mbeumo, they have not made any official move so far. Coach Thomas Frank is very interested in Mbeumo after accepting to lead Spurs. However, the British media unanimously confirmed that Mbeumo wants to join MU and they are dominating the race for this signature.

The Mbeumo deal is not just about the transfer fee but also about the salary. Mbeumo demands a salary of £250,000 a week, higher than Son Heung-min at Tottenham. However, MU is completely capable of meeting this request, because they are confident of successfully selling Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

The Times reports that Mbeumo expects to earn five times more than he would if he moved to Manchester United. The Cameroon international currently earns £50,000 a week at Brentford. If he moves to Old Trafford, he will be among the highest-paid players at the club.
