Sesko's injury is not too serious. |
The Slovenian striker entered the field in the 58th minute, played energetically but unfortunately suffered a knee injury after a collision with Micky van de Ven, forcing him to leave the field at the end of the match. The incident made Amorim worried, especially when the "Red Devils" force was quite thin.
"With a knee injury, you never know. I'm worried because Ben is very important to the team. We need to check carefully," Amorim shared after the match.
However, Slovenian media brought positive signals. According to Sportklub , initial test results show that Sesko's injury is not serious and he is unlikely to be out long-term. However, the player will have to undergo an MRI scan in the next few days to determine the exact extent of the damage.
The London game was an emotional affair. United opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Bryan Mbeumo's header, before Tottenham turned things around with goals from Mathys Tel and Richarlison. But the Red Devils did not give up as Matthijs de Ligt jumped high to head home an equaliser in the 96th minute.
As Sesko's injury worries gradually subside, coach Amorim can breathe a sigh of relief. A point at Tottenham's stadium is not complete, but shows that his team is taking steps, albeit faltering, on the journey to regain the spirit of a true "Red Devil".
