Due to prolonged heavy rain, hydroelectric reservoirs in Lam Dong have simultaneously announced the release of water through the spillway.

At 7:00 a.m. on November 17, the water level of Dong Nai 3 reservoir reached 589.78 m, the flow into the reservoir was 220.09 m3/s. The machine flow was 176 m3/s, the regulated flow through the spillway was 37 m3/s. Dong Nai Hydropower Company increased the regulated flow through the spillway of Dong Nai 3 hydropower reservoir from 37 m3/s to 100 m3/s and Dong Nai 4 hydropower reservoir from 37 m3/s to 50 m3/s at 9:00 a.m. on November 17.

Regulated discharge flow to downstream: Dong Nai 3 lake is 276 m3/s and Dong Nai 4 lake is 273 m3/s.

Depending on the amount of rainfall and water flow into the lake, the above hydropower plants will continue to increase or decrease the water discharge level through the spillway.

Over the past two days, Lam Dong province has been experiencing heavy rains, lasting day and night. The amount of water flowing into low-lying areas and streams has caused localized flooding in many places, causing damage to people's property.

This morning, heavy rain still does not stop, risk of flooding and landslides is very high.
