Muoi Noi commune has more than 3,242 hectares of agricultural land. Previously, most of the area was used by people to grow corn and cassava, but the economic efficiency was low and income was unstable. In recent years, with guidance and encouragement from specialized sectors, people have boldly shifted to growing crops with higher economic value. In particular, the area of coffee trees has grown to more than 2,448 hectares, becoming the main crop. Along with that, the commune has developed nearly 600 hectares of fruit trees, many areas are intercropped with coffee trees, bringing double value to farmers.

Therefore, the commune has determined to continue restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing the value of the area, focusing on planting and caring for coffee trees and raising livestock in the direction of commodities. Up to now, the commune has over 2,400 hectares of coffee, with an annual output of 12,500 tons of coffee beans. This is a crop that brings a good income to many households, helping the commune's poverty rate to decrease sharply in the past 5 years. From 2020 to the end of 2024, the poverty rate will decrease from 46.6% to 21.9%.

The family of Mr. Ca Van Lun, Pua village is one of the households with a good income from the conversion of crop and livestock structure, especially since switching to coffee cultivation. Mr. Lun shared: My family has 1 hectare of coffee trees, each year harvesting nearly 15 tons of fruit, earning more than 180 million VND. In addition, the family maintains 0.5 hectare of rice, raises breeding buffalo, and raises poultry to increase income. Thanks to that, the family has a stable income, and has the conditions to take care of the children's education.

Along with developing coffee trees, Muoi Noi commune encourages people to intercrop macadamia, lat trees, and canarium trees to create shade and protect coffee trees from weather changes, initially bringing about effectiveness. Typically, the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tu, Nam Tien village, with the model of growing Hoang Kim star apple and other fruit trees, has an income of over 1 billion VND/year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu said: My family grows 4 hectares of Hoang Kim star apples interspersed with fruit trees. In addition, there are more than 10 hectares of dragon fruit, longan, custard apples, which are currently yielding about 30% of the area. Taking care of many types of fruit trees is quite hard, requires a lot of effort and requires constant learning, innovating techniques, ways to prevent pests and diseases, and increasing productivity for the trees, but in return, the family has a higher income.
