MWG Honored with "Green Star" at the 2025 Sustainable Development Forum

On August 28, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Forum 2025 - New Era for Green Economic Development organized by Saigon Economic Magazine, Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) was honored to be awarded the Green Star 2025 title. MWG is in the Top 22 pioneering enterprises honored for its positive initiatives in linking business goals with environmental and social responsibilities, spreading the inspiration of sustainable development to the business community.

Mr. Trieu Thanh Thinh - Head of Sustainable Development - ESG at MWG represented to receive the "Green Star" title at the Sustainable Development Forum 2025 - New Era for Green Economic Development organized by Saigon Economic Magazine.

Over the years, MWG has consistently pursued a sustainable development strategy, with specific and effective steps. Notably, in 2024, MWG deployed rooftop solar power systems at 643 locations, helping to reduce more than 5,000 tons of CO₂ and save 15% - 20% on electricity costs. By 2025, the company aims to expand this system to 400 new locations, continuing to increase the rate of renewable energy use across its operations.

At the same time, MWG also promotes the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in management and operations. IoT deployment helps improve customer experience, automate processes, optimize energy consumption, reduce emissions and save costs. In 2025, MWG will expand the IoT project to 2,500 more stores nationwide, thereby contributing to realizing ESG commitments and promoting the green - smart retail model.

Enterprises honored in the "Green Star" category

In addition to being honored in the “Green Star” category, in 2025, MWG was also awarded the “Top 50 Outstanding Sustainable Development Enterprises in Vietnam” in the Carbon Footprint Reduction category, marking its persistent efforts on the development journey associated with environmental and social responsibility. In July 2025, Forbes Vietnam also honored MWG in the Top 50 Best Listed Enterprises in 2025, in which MWG was excellently ranked in the Top 3 of the entire ranking, affirming its strong transformation and effective business strategy over the past year.

Being recognized by prestigious organizations is a great source of encouragement for MWG to continue to perfect its operating model according to higher standards - more transparent, modern and responsible. This is also an affirmation of MWG's commitment to contributing to Vietnam's Net Zero 2050 goal, gradually moving towards a sustainable future with the philosophy of "Putting sustainability at the center of every thought and action".
