Grasping the reality of tourism activities in Mai Chau district

On March 21, a working delegation from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a meeting to grasp the actual situation of business activities and welcoming and serving tourists in Mai Chau district.

The delegation grasped the situation of activities and exchanged with international tourists at Mai Chau Ecolodge hotel.

Mai Chau tourist area is one of the attractive destinations, attracting many domestic and international tourists to visit and explore. Recently, the tourist area has been chosen as the venue for a number of major national and regional cultural, sports and tourism events. In the first quarter of 2024, the whole district is expected to welcome 170,000 visitors, including over 30,000 international visitors; total revenue is estimated at nearly 200 billion VND.

The delegation grasped the actual business situation and welcomed guests at Mai Chau Ecolodge (Na Phon commune), Mai Chau Logde (Chieng Chau commune); Pom Coong community tourism village (Mai Chau town). Through discussions with businesses and business households, business activities of establishments in the tourist area have been bustling since the beginning of the year. Room occupancy rates at hotels reached their maximum on weekends and over 70% on weekdays. Homestay households also maintained a stable number of guests.
