Male worker fell from high quarry to the ground and died

On September 11, information from the People's Committee of Thanh Cao commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province said that a work accident had just occurred in the area, killing one worker.

Previously, on the morning of September 10, Mr. BVC (35 years old, residing in Thanh Cao commune) climbed the mountain to pry rocks and clean up the mining area at Minh Thanh quarry (under the management of Minh Thanh Construction Company Limited).

While working, the tie between the safety rope and the safety belt slipped, causing the male worker to fall to his death at the foot of the mountain.

The leader of Thanh Cao Commune People's Committee added that Mr. C. previously worked at Minh Thanh quarry but had quit his job 3 months ago and withdrawn his insurance. Recently, he returned to work at the quarry and had a tragic work accident.

It is known that the victim has a wife and 2 small children. The wife has a herniated disc and has not been able to work for a long time. Mr. C. is the main breadwinner in the family.

Immediately after the incident, the commune authorities visited and encouraged the victim's family.

In early 2022, at Minh Thanh quarry, there was also a rock fall accident that killed one person.
