Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Ba Trang said: “In line with the political orientation, the commemorative events and major holidays of the country and locality, cultural and artistic activities are deployed synchronously and comprehensively in many rich and diverse forms, meeting the needs of the people to enjoy spiritual culture. Mass artistic activities are increasingly rich and flourishing in both composition and performance, contributing to discovering and praising talented individuals who are the core of the local cultural and artistic movement”.

According to Director of An Giang Provincial Cultural and Arts Center Nguyen Van Dong, the unit coordinated well in organizing cultural and arts activities, celebrating major national holidays, important events of the province and the country, and local traditional festivals. The activities were implemented effectively, really going into depth, meeting the political tasks and the needs of enjoying spiritual culture of the people, especially in remote areas, ethnic minority areas. Competitions, performances, and mass cultural and arts festivals were invested in more, innovated in content, form, and quality was increasingly improved. Thereby, creating a connection for mutual development between the center and grassroots cultural units, contributing to promoting the role and importance of building cultural life, building new rural areas, building civilized urban areas, preserving and promoting national cultural identity...

Since the beginning of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with provincial departments, branches and sectors to well organize cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring, celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, reunification of the country... The provincial Cultural and Art Center organized 2 art programs, performed 64 art performances; organized the Mass Art Festival within the framework of the 14th Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of the Khmer ethnic group in An Giang province in 2025. In addition, 5 art performances were performed, nearly 75 films were shown... The activities served over 60,000 viewers.

The Provincial Cultural and Arts Center, the Provincial Museum, and the President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Area organized nearly 45 permanent and mobile exhibitions with thematic photo collections: "Economic, cultural and social achievements of An Giang province in 2024", "An Giang - Formation and development process", "The life and career of President Ton Duc Thang", "Uncle Ton with the Vietnam People's Army", "President Ton Duc Thang - Journey from 1945 - 1975", "Khmer ethnic cultural heritage of An Giang province", "The Great Spring Victory of 1975 - The Strength of Vietnam", "Achievements of An Giang province 50 years after liberation"... serving political tasks, commemorating major holidays, serving over 30,000 viewers.

Mr. Truong Ba Trang shared: “In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to innovate, creating favorable conditions to improve the overall quality of local cultural and artistic activities. At the same time, effectively promote investment resources for Vietnamese cultural and artistic activities; encourage people to participate in creating, preserving, teaching and promoting traditional cultural and artistic values. In addition, effectively promote cultural institutions; innovate content and diversify forms of propaganda and exhibition activities; regularly organize cultural activities, art performances, film screenings combined with mobile exhibitions to meet the increasing cultural enjoyment needs of the people, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development task in the province”.
