STRENGTHENING PROPAGANDA AND SPREADING POLICIES
Currently, the province has 10 industrial parks established, of which 6 have come into operation, 114 enterprises in the industrial parks have established trade unions, with over 81,900 union members. The workforce contributes significantly to economic growth, but also poses an urgent need to take care of their social security.

Implementing Directive 52 dated January 9, 2016 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in improving the quality of human resources for workers in industrial parks and export processing zones", along with programs and plans of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has directed the synchronous implementation of many practical activities, suitable to the characteristics of each locality and enterprise.
Identifying propaganda work as a key task, over the past 10 years, trade unions at all levels have organized 4,950 propaganda and dissemination sessions on Directive 52 and related policies, attracting the participation of over 285,000 union members and workers.
The content is conveyed in a variety of ways through trade union meetings, conferences, seminars, competitions, cultural and sports activities, and digital media channels such as Zalo and Facebook. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also coordinates with press agencies to create more than 840 special pages and columns, contributing to spreading the spirit of Directive 52 to a large number of workers. Many enterprises actively cooperate with the Trade Union to invest in building canteens, lunch break houses, sports fields, and organizing cultural and artistic exchanges, contributing to improving the cultural and social life of workers.
INNOVATION OF ACTIVITIES AT THE FACILITY
To meet the increasingly diverse needs of workers, grassroots trade unions have proactively innovated their content and methods of operation in a flexible and practical manner. Many models have been effectively implemented such as: "Trade Union Cultural Corner", "Arts and Sports Club", "Workers' Family Festival", vocational competitions, law competitions, karaoke competitions, "Trade Union Tet Market" program...
The province currently has more than 300 non-state enterprise trade unions regularly organizing cultural and sports activities for workers, of which more than 120 trade unions maintain cultural and sports clubs, 60 worker dormitories are supported in operation, and nearly 90 units have built the model of "Traditional Room - Trade Union Bookcase - Legal Advice Corner".
In particular, the Game Show “After Work” organized by the Provincial Labor Federation in coordination with Dong Thap Radio and Television Station (formerly) has been organized for 8 episodes with the enthusiastic participation of thousands of workers. The program is not only a playground for entertainment, but also helps to improve legal knowledge, life skills, solidarity and creativity at work.
At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also implemented the Project on building grassroots cultural institutions for the period 2022 - 2026. Up to now, more than 500 cultural and sports institutions have been renovated and put into use such as: football fields, badminton courts, volleyball courts... The project on trade union institutions and social housing in My Tho Industrial Park and Trung An Industrial Cluster implemented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is contributing to improving living conditions for workers.
Building a healthy cultural environment in enterprises is considered a fundamental factor to improve the cultural and social life of workers. Trade unions at all levels have actively integrated this content into the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the Provincial Labor Federation has closely coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to implement the criteria "Agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards". Thereby, many typical models have been replicated such as: "Smoke-free enterprises", "Green - clean - beautiful workshops", "Culture of greeting - solidarity - cooperation", "Safe - civilized workplace" ...
Besides the remarkable results, the work of improving cultural and sports activities for workers still has some limitations such as: The rate of enterprises regularly organizing cultural and sports activities is still low, some cultural institutions do not meet actual needs, the rate of workers participating in activities is not high...
In the coming time, Dong Thap Provincial Trade Unions at all levels will continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Directive 52 and the action programs of the Provincial Party Committee; at the same time, promote the development of union members and build strong grassroots trade unions.
Improving the quality of human resources for workers is not only a political task, but also a social responsibility of the entire political system and business community, creating motivation for workers to feel secure in their work, stay with the company for a long time, and contribute to building Dong Thap province to develop sustainably.
