According to the organizers of the discussion, climate change in Vietnam is evolving in a complex manner, occurring faster, with a greater impact than predicted, and could affect 74% of Vietnam's population. Vietnam is a country with higher greenhouse gas emissions (CO 2 ) than other developing countries in the world, mainly due to backward production technology and small-scale production by most enterprises. This reality is affecting the sustainability of Vietnam's economy .

At the seminar, experts on financial markets and services, and climate change shared and discussed the realities, obstacles, and difficulties, as well as proposed specific solutions to raise awareness and minimize the impacts of climate change. Many opinions said that it is necessary to promote communication in this field; it is necessary to further improve the effectiveness of propaganda against climate change.
Earlier, in the morning of the same day, in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, the organizing committee held a discussion with Vinh Chau Forestry Department and hundreds of students and local people to plant 2,025 white mangrove trees, making a practical contribution to environmental protection.
On this occasion, ActionAid International in Vietnam (ActionAid) and the Vietnam Social Security Program and Project Support Fund (AFV) donated 100 million VND to give computers to students of Can Tho Ethnic Boarding School.
