Due to the influence of storm No. 1, on June 13, heavy rain and strong winds appeared in A Luoi district. The storm caused the roofs of 53 houses in Dong Son and Lam Dot communes, A Luoi district to be blown off (Dong Son commune had 12 houses, Lam Dot commune had 41 houses). Of these, 11 houses had their roofs completely blown off, the rest had their roofs blown off from 30 to 50%.
A Dot Border Guard Station mobilized officers and soldiers into two groups to go to the area to coordinate with the authorities of Dong Son and Lam Dot communes to urgently help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters.







On June 14, the recovery work continued to be urgently deployed. Officers and soldiers of the unit were present at the scene early, focusing on supporting households. Working groups focused on helping people re-roof their houses, clearing fallen trees, cleaning up the surrounding area, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
Major Que Viet Thinh, Political Commissar of the A Dot Border Guard Station, said: “Currently, the weather is still light rain, so we are working hard to coordinate with local authorities to support people to overcome the consequences as quickly as possible. The unit prioritizes support for households with heavy damage, families with few people, and those in difficult circumstances. Officers and soldiers identify this as an important political task, demonstrating the spirit of “serving the people”, accompanying people in the border area to overcome difficulties.”
