Improving capacity to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of August 18, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa organized a training course on professional skills and techniques to improve the capacity to implement the National Target Program (NTPP) on sustainable poverty reduction for officials in mountainous communes.

Overview of the training class.

Attending the training course were 190 delegates who were leaders, cultural and social officials of the Commune People's Committee; village and hamlet heads, poverty reduction collaborators and prestigious people in 38 communes in the mountainous areas of the province.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province Vuong Thi Hai Yen delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Vuong Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized: Sustainable poverty reduction is always an important political task, closely linked to the goal of socio-economic development, ensuring social security and improving people's lives. Especially for communes in mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa province - where there are many difficulties in economy, infrastructure and living conditions, sustainable poverty reduction work is even more practical and long-term.

Therefore, the departments, branches and sectors of the province always pay attention to improving the professional qualifications, skills and skills to carry out poverty reduction tasks for cadres and prestigious people in mountainous areas. From there, it contributes to propagating the latest directives and policies of the Central and the province to the people, especially poor and near-poor households, to apply effective poverty reduction models, suitable to the practical conditions of each locality.

During the 2 days (August 18 and 19), delegates were introduced to and approached the latest directive documents of the Central and the province; guided on skills of operation, management, propaganda, review of poor households, monitoring, evaluation and mass mobilization; experience in building and managing effective poverty reduction models in localities across the country and suggesting solutions suitable to the conditions in Thanh Hoa.

Within the framework of the training course, trainees exchanged and shared difficulties, discussed and proposed practical solutions to be applied immediately in their localities, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and improving the lives of people in mountainous areas.
