On November 8, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) to organize a training conference on "Improving capacity in applying information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities".
Attending the training conference were more than 40 delegates who were officers and employees of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Industrial Promotion Center, the Provincial Trade Promotion Center, the Economic Infrastructure Department of districts, towns and cities; representatives of trade promotion support organizations, industry associations, enterprises and cooperatives in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the training conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Huynh Ngoc Duong said that in recent years, trade promotion activities have been taking place vigorously at all levels and sectors to boost the local agricultural product consumption market.
However, in the current era of the 4.0 revolution, trade promotion activities also need to change to create new breakthroughs in production, business and product consumption. Therefore, the training content at the conference will help organizations, units and businesses apply information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion effectively to improve management capacity and develop consumer markets.

At the conference, delegates were provided with detailed information by experts in information technology and digital transformation and had their questions answered about Decision No. 1968/QD-TTg, dated November 22, 2021 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project "Promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities for the period 2021 - 2023"; an overview of the digital trade promotion ecosystem; instructions on using, accessing and posting data on the digital trade promotion information management system, the central management system on centralized databases; how to collect information for trade promotion and manage partners, businesses, etc.
