This is one of the activities under the Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development in Vietnam (ST4SD) Project, funded by the Swiss Government.
The program was attended by representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam , a group of project experts, representatives of the Quang Nam Tourism Association, the Department of Culture and Information, the Center for Culture, Sports and Information of districts, towns and cities: Hoi An, Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen... together with representatives of tourism businesses, tourism management boards, cooperatives, and local tourism groups.
At the program, the group of experts introduced the concept and shared their views on sustainable tourism; marketing orientation, business branding; shared how to operate, cooperate and partner; applied digital transformation in operations and customer approach; the process of forming new products and building green product chains.
The activity continues to affirm Quang Nam’s commitment to sustainable tourism development, while demonstrating the close cooperation between local authorities and international organizations. By focusing on capacity building and awareness of sustainable tourism, the program contributes to creating positive impacts for both the environment and local communities, helping Quang Nam tourism develop sustainably, becoming a leading green and sustainable tourism destination for tourists interested in the environment and preserving local heritage.
Previously, from August 14 to 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam organized the program "Experience green tourism in Quang Nam" and the workshop "Experts on green tourism model" also within the framework of the ST4SD project. The ST4SD project has accompanied and supported Quang Nam province in updating, reviewing and adjusting the set of green tourism criteria to suit the actual situation.
In addition, the project also supports tourism businesses to access and participate in internationally recognized sustainable tourism certifications.
