The project is implemented at the 220kV Tuy Hoa Transformer Station (TSS), Phu Hoa 2 Commune, Dak Lak Province, with EVNNPT as the investor, NPTPMB on behalf of the investor manages and operates the project, and Power Transmission Company 3 (PTC3) takes over the operation.
After nearly 10 months of urgent construction, the project was completed ahead of schedule, ensuring quality, technique and labor safety.
The project has the scale of replacing the existing AT2 transformer (125MVA) with a new transformer with a capacity of 250MVA; installing a new 110kV feeder to the 110kV An My substation (E02); expanding the busbar system and synchronously upgrading auxiliary equipment to match the upgraded transformer capacity. At the same time, the project also completes the control - protection system, fire protection misting system and upgrades the infrastructure for long-term operation.
The completion of the AT2-250MVA transformer and 170 bay will contribute to increasing the power supply capacity, meeting the increasing load demand in the South Central region, especially Phu Yen and neighboring provinces.
The project is also important in improving the reliability, safety and stability of the regional transmission grid, creating favorable conditions for collecting renewable energy sources.
The project was completed on the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025) and to welcome the 4th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Electricity Group Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, making it even more meaningful.
The success of the project is the result of close direction from EVNNPT, close coordination between contractors, construction units, consultants, supervisors and active support from local authorities.
