The workshop “Implementing ESG with AI, what should businesses do?” was co-organized by Dan Tri newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology this afternoon (August 14), at JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).

The workshop was attended by representatives of state management agencies, experts, and leaders of large enterprises, small and medium enterprises interested in ESG implementation, especially the application of AI in ESG implementation. The diversity of participants helped the workshop provide practical perspectives and clear strategies for the business community that is striving to integrate ESG into business operations.

This workshop is an event of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 with the theme "Science and technology and driving force for sustainable development". The Vietnam ESG Forum is an open forum, initiated and organized by Dan Tri newspaper since 2024 with many activities and event series, in which the highlight is the Vietnam ESG Awards.

The theme of this year's Forum is assessed by members of the Vietnam ESG Forum High Council and experts as being consistent with the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo , which is to take science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force for development.

In the context of AI being present everywhere as science and technology are increasingly developing, this workshop was assessed by the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam ESG Forum as well as the members of the Forum's Senior Council (including 12 members, who are prestigious and influential figures in the fields of environment, society and governance) as timely and practical.

At the workshop "Implementing ESG with AI, what should businesses do?" on August 14, speakers analyzed and discussed in depth many practical topics, revolving around the connection between artificial intelligence (AI) and ESG in the context of Vietnamese businesses striving to transform towards sustainable development.

The workshop demystifies the concept of "AI in ESG" - clarifying how AI can support businesses to effectively implement goals related to the environment (E), society (S) and governance (G). From there, speakers will share practical lessons from domestic businesses that have implemented ESG using technology, pointing out common difficulties, common mistakes and how to overcome them.

Another important topic is the roadmap for implementing ESG using technology, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - a group that often faces many barriers in terms of resources. The workshop will also analyze the role of AI in data transparency and improving the effectiveness of ESG reporting - a factor that is increasingly of interest to investors and international partners.

The problem of balancing technology investment costs and ESG efficiency will also be dissected, to help businesses find cost-effective solutions while still ensuring high ESG standards are achieved.

Experts will also make specific recommendations on policies and building an ecosystem to support businesses - where management agencies, technology solution providers and financial institutions need to play a connecting and accompanying role to promote ESG into practice in a sustainable and effective manner.

By participating in the workshop, businesses and readers will have the opportunity to directly access knowledge and experience from leading experts in the fields of ESG, artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and pioneering business leaders in Vietnam. This is an opportunity to grasp the trend of combining AI and ESG, understand how technology supports the effective implementation of environmental, social and governance goals.

Attendees will learn practical lessons from businesses that have applied ESG using technology, and access implementation roadmaps that are appropriate to the characteristics and resources of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The workshop will also provide solutions to improve data transparency and ESG reporting effectiveness, meeting the increasing demands of investors and international partners. In addition to knowledge, the event is also an opportunity to expand the network, find potential partners and join the business community towards sustainable development.
